Mindless entertainment would replace recreational free thinking?

In the film Fahrenheit 471 fireman wife Linda is watching TV program that can be describe as brainwash program.But for Linda that is the best time spend during the day.While she is watching the program she look like mindless person and that is what society wants from her.They do not want her to think, they think for her.
